Here's some musings from the Friday night that was.

1. Liberty wide receiver Marcus Lucas is making a case for All-Metro consideration already. The junior hauled in six passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns against Park Hill on Friday night. He's caught 22 balls for 459 yards this season. That's over 20 yards a catch. There's a reason Missouri and K-State are interested in him.

2. Don't run it up. Coach Corso and Kirk Herbstreit always get on my case when I run the score up on teams on my PS2. Well, the Sunshine Scooter would have been going crazy at the Sherwood-Maranatha game on Friday night. Sherwood, a school just southeast of Harrisonville, put 90 on Maranatha.

Sherwood was 0-3 going into the game and had scored just 33 points.

3. Can we stop with the putting four fingers up in the fourth quarter? Yeah, we know it's the fourth quarter. But at least put up three fingers for Dale Earnhardt too. Especially since this is NASCAR Week.

4. The Suburban Big 7 title could be decided this coming Friday night. Raymore-Peculiar hosts Blue Springs. Both teams are 4-0.

5. Dalton Krysa went over the 5,000 yard mark for his career on Friday night. He pounded out 230 yards on the ground in a 31-0 win for Fort Osage.
