William Chrisman has found success using their run and gun style of offense in recent years.
They have come back from big deficits, put up gawdy offensive numbers and gained notoriety for their style of play.
But there is one team it just doesn't seem to work against -- Oak Park.
The Northmen have won four of the last five games against William Chrisman, including a 81-38 game at the beginning of the 2007-08 season.
So when the two teams met in Independence on Tuesday night, the Bears didn't come out in their full court pressure offense. Instead they dropped into a zone defense and tried to grind their way to a victory.
The plan worked for three quarters and the game was tied heading into the fourth. Ultimately though, Oak Park pulled away to win 45-34.
Hey you can't blame William Chrisman coach John Vickers. The one victory they did get against Oak Park came at the end of last season when they did the same thing.
