George Goode has found playing time with the Louisville Cardinals.
Just two years ago George Goode was one of the most polarizing figures in high school basketball in Kansas City.
Either you loved him or hated him.
But whatever happened to the 6-8 forward from Raytown South.
If you've watched any Louisville highlights over the last few weeks you've likely seen him in the background
He's No. 22 for the Cardinals, the No. 1 seeded team. If KU can pull off a victory and Louisivllle does the same, there may be a chance for Goode to not only face off against the local school but a few old opponents in Conner Teahan and Travis Releford.
Anyway, George isn't starting for Rick Pitino, but he has seen action in 25 of 35 games and is averaging 6.3 minutes per contest and averaging about 1.6 points per game.
Here's the stat that's probably going to shock both Goode's fans and detractors... he hasn't put up a three-point shot all season.
Regardless of what people think of individuals, seeing a local player go on and play for a successful Division I team is good for the athlete and Kansas City basketball as a whole.
