If you are including Lansing , Lawrence, and DeSoto in your All-Metro cross country team then you have missed a great runner. Tony Weiss of Baldwin, Kansas. He placed 2nd at state ( 4A) ahead of the defending champion, won his regional, won the Frontier League ahead of the defending champion (Mitch Loring of Gardner- Edgerton)while tying the league record. He placed 4th at Rim Rock in the gold dividion, ahead of Wedge from Lawrence, Hanson of St. Thomas Aquinas, and Hendee of SMNorth. He placed third at the Community America Invitational Meet ahead of every SMNorthwest runner including Aaron Thornburg and was selected by the Lawrence Journal World as their All-Area- male Runner of the Year. Is Baldwin not considered in the all metro selection even though Lansing, Lawrence and DeSoto are??
