Junior Jared Aronson (707), senior Adam Lewis (691) and junior Joey Parrack (635) rounded out the scoring for the Vikings, who defeated SM Northwest and Olathe East.

“They came out ready to bowl tonight,” SM West coach Renee Stevens said. “They were feeling it.”

Beeghly has been a pleasant surprise and significant addition to an already strong Vikings team.

While he has prior bowling experience, the SM West coaches didn’t know much about him before tryouts. But they sure do now.

New team is a hitLast spring, the Gardner Edgerton administration held a meeting to gauge student interest in the school starting a varsity bowling program. More than 80 students showed up.

So far, it’s been quite a success.

Through their first five meets, the Gardner Edgerton boys had won four and was second to Shawnee Mission West in the other, coach Mike Zegers said.
