200 FREESTYLE •First team: Cris Smith, Olathe East, senior. Placed third at Kansas state meet in 1:43.45. Also was fifth in 100 butterfly at state meet. He was consistently one of the top swimmers on an Olathe East team that won a team state championship.

200 INDIVIDUAL MEDLEY •First team: Nathan Hoisington, Blue Valley North, junior. Won his second consecutive state title in this event, finishing with a state finals time of 1:51.08. He also was state runner-up in the 100 breaststroke and won a 200 individual medley East Kansas League championship.
•Second team: Luke Musser, Blue Valley Northwest, senior.
50 FREESTYLE •First team: Nathan Welchlin, Blue Valley Northwest, senior. Finished first at Kansas state meet in 21.44 seconds. He also was state runner-up in the 100 butterfly and won East Kansas League titles in 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke.
•Second team: Jacob Sims, Leavenworth, senior.
ONE-METER DIVING •First team: Clark Thomas, Olathe Northwest, freshman. Finished his first varsity season undefeated, including a Kansas state championship with his score of 468.95 points. Also won the Sunflower League title.
100 BUTTERFLY •First team: Joe Knight, Olathe East, senior. A Sunflower League champion in two events, Knight was a key factor in the Hawks winning the program’s first team state title. He placed third at the Kansas state meet in 52.02 seconds and was second in the 200 freestyle.
•Second team: Greg Jacobs, Blue Valley North, senior.
100 FREESTYLE •First team: Austin Wright, Blue Valley, senior. Placed second at Kansas state meet in a time of 47.55 seconds and also finished second at state in 50 freestyle.
•Second team: Jack O’Neill, Blue Valley North, junior.
500 FREESTYLE •First team: Austin Acheson, Olathe East, senior. Repeat Kansas state champion in 500 freestyle. He broke the state meet record with his time of 4:34.54. He also finished third in the 200 individual medley at state, helping the Hawks to the program’s first team state title. Also won the 500 freestyle at Sunflower League meet.
•Second team: Michael Glenn, Blue Valley West, sophomore.
200 FREESTYLE RELAY Shawnee Mission East (Jon Reene, senior; Clay Finley, junior; Hunter Stevenson, junior; Spencer Sherard, senior). The Lancers won the Kansas state championship in 1:27.23.
100 BACKSTROKE •First team: Ben Scheffer, Olathe East, sophomore. Won Kansas state title in 51.47 seconds and placed fourth in the 100 butterfly at the state meet. He also won a Sunflower League championship in the 200 individual medley.
•Second team: Nolan Frank, Lawrence Free State, sophomore.
100 BREASTSTROKE •First team: Griffin Peavey, Blue Valley North, sophomore. Won Kansas state championship in a time of 57.61 seconds and also placed fourth at state in the 200 individual medley.
400 FREESTYLE RELAY Olathe East (Ben Scheffer, sophomore; Cris Smith, senior; Ben Bravence, freshman; Joe Knight, senior). The Hawks won the Kansas state championship in 3:10.47 and helped the school to its first team state title.
