Meagan Paul

SCHOOL: Kearney

YEAR: Junior

SPORT: Basketball

In a 49-24 victory against St. Joseph Central last week, Paul attempted all of her game-high 18 shots from three-point range. She buried half of them and added a free throw, good for a 28-point night. Paul also finished with a team-high two steals in the win.

Dustin Williams

SCHOOL: Gardner Edgerton

YEAR: Junior

SPORT: Wrestling

Williams won the 160-pound title Saturday at the 33rd annual Gardner Edgerton Invitational, which brought together 16 teams from five states. Williams knocked off Tim Miklus, a senior from Southeast Polk and the No. 1-ranked wrestler in Iowa, 6-4 in the championship bout. He was one of two wrestlers from Kansas to strike gold.
