Megan Woolley

SCHOOL: Piper

YEAR: Junior

SPORT: Basketball

As the Pirates’ point guard, Woolley was instrumental in helping claim the championship at Eudora’s Cardinal Invitational. She scored 18 with four steals as Piper opened with a 46-39 win against St. James Academy. Her perimeter defense keyed a 54-19 crushing of Highland Park in the semifinals. Finally, Woolley drilled four of six three-pointers and scored 16 as the Pirates stunned Bonner Springs 51-40 for the title.

Logan Schreier

SCHOOL: Excelsior Springs

YEAR: Senior

SPORT: Basketball

It took Excelsior Springs only four games to surpass last year’s two-win campaign. The Tigers began the year 3-1 behind a pair of impressive performances from Schreier, a senior forward. In wins against Summit Christian and Chillicothe, he averaged 22.5 points, four rebounds, four steals and 5.5 assists per game.
