Zach Willis

SCHOOL: Olathe Northwest

YEAR: Senior

SPORT: Swimming and diving

For the fourth consecutive year, Willis won the 100-yard breaststroke at the Sunflower League Boys Swimming and Diving Championships, which wrapped up Saturday at the Lawrence Free State Aquatic Center. Willis won his latest league title in 1 minute, 0.21 seconds. He also finished third in the 50 freestyle (21.96) and swam on fourth-place 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.

Tori Beeler

SCHOOL: Park Hill South

YEAR: Freshman

SPORT: Swimming and diving

A newcomer to the Suburban Red Conference, the Panthers introduced themselves by winning the league championship Saturday. Beeler played a big part, winning the 200 individual medley in 2 minutes, 12.77 seconds. She later finished second in the 100 backstroke. She also was the leadoff swimmer in the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays, which both placed second.
