Olathe Northwest High School’s boys basketball team postponed its home game Tuesday night with Shawnee Mission East after Ravens coach Mike Grove’s daughter, Mary, died Monday morning. Mary, who was hospitalized a year ago with pulmonary arterial hypertension, was a senior at the Kansas School for the Deaf in Olathe. Coach Grove, who has two other daughters with his wife Kelly, took a brief leave of absence from Northwest last season as Mary recovered. There will be a rosary and visitation from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 900 S. Honeysuckle, in Olathe. The funeral, also at St. Paul’s, will take place at 11 a.m. Friday. The varsity and junior varsity games against SM East will be played at a later date, which has yet to be determined, but the sophomore game will take place as scheduled at 5:30 p.m.
