It’s going to be hard for Lawrence Free State’s Courtney Caldwell to top herself. Caldwell, a freshman swimmer last spring for the Firebirds, swam to Kansas 6A state titles in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle. In sweeping arguably the signature events in high school swimming, Caldwell also broke the state-meet record with a time of 23.49 seconds in the preliminaries.
